**A Journey of Togetherness: Our Enchanting Udaipur Family Picnic**

On the 16th of May, 2024, we embarked on a much-anticipated family picnic to Udaipur.

Our journey began at 9:30 in the morning, leaving Gandhinagar behind with parents, my son Rohan, and my beloved wife Jagruti. By 2:30 in the afternoon, we arrived at the tranquil Bamboosa Resort in Udaipur. Lunch was promptly served at 2:30, and with the help of our travel agent, Mr. Vedant, we secured a delightful deal that included breakfast and lunch.

After a sumptuous lunch, we retreated to our room for a brief nap. At 4:30, Rohan and I decided to take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool. We spent two delightful hours in the water, enjoying each other's company. The hotel staff then treated us to a splendid high tea, beautifully arranged and served with care.

As evening approached, we immersed ourselves in the vibrant culture of Rajasthan, witnessing a mesmerizing folk dance at 8:00 PM. We even joined in, playing garba together, creating joyous memories. Our night continued with a visit to Fateh Sagar Lake, where we indulged in delicious local food before returning to the resort for a restful sleep.

Initially, we planned only a one-day picnic, but the beauty of Udaipur and the comfort of the resort convinced us otherwise. The next morning, we awoke at 8:00 AM and enjoyed a hearty breakfast, included in our stay. Rohan and my father expressed their desire to extend our stay, and with the assistance of the ever-cooperative Mr. Vijay, we secured a room with a new view for another night.

Skipping lunch, we set off for Nimachiya Mata Mandir near Fateh Sagar Lake, arriving around 11:00 AM. We prayed together, finding peace in the temple's serenity. Later, my wife Jagruti called her father, who recommended a visit to Saheliyon ki Bari. We hired a guide and explored the beautiful gardens, a truly enchanting experience.

Our afternoon was spent at a local handicraft showroom, admiring exquisite sarees and dresses.

At 4:00 PM, we returned to the hotel for some much-needed rest and enjoyed another delightful high tea. The resort staff's attentiveness shone through as they accommodated my mother's dietary needs for her fasting day on the 17th. That evening, we were entertained by a captivating puppet show in the garden, followed by another swim in our private pool. The day concluded with more folk dance, live music, and a delicious dinner, leaving us with a sense of contentment and joy.

On the 18th, after a final breakfast at the resort, we checked out and headed to Shrinathji, a revered temple in our Hindu faith. Spending around two and a half hours in prayer, we felt a deep spiritual connection that brought us closer together. By 8:00 PM, we were back home, our hearts full from the enriching experiences of our journey.

This trip was more than just a picnic; it was a cherished time of bonding and rediscovery. Udaipur's beauty, the resort's hospitality, and our shared moments of joy and reflection made it an unforgettable experience. It's these moments that remind us of the importance of family time, encouraging us to take such trips at least twice a year. Through this journey, we not only explored new places but also reconnected with each other, strengthening the bonds that hold us together.
